Kia ora. Mybackground in health has been firmly rooted in rural environments sincepost-graduate medical school years. Training in rural hospital medicine laidthe foundation for my interest in health inequities that extend beyondgeography and are often compounded by ethnicity and socioeconomic disadvantage.

Through a quality improvement and research-informedapproach, my work with HARC focuses on identifying the gaps that limit improvedrural health outcomes, while also amplifying the considerable strengths thatalready exist within rural communities. This includes supporting systemimprovement that is locally grounded, evidence-based, and responsive to therealities of rural practice.
