This is an interim education module for kaimahi hauora/health workers who have the opportunity to encourage people to participate in the National Bowel Screening Programme.

What do we want clinicians to do?
  • Have a conversation with priority group patients who have not completed bowel screening.
  • Use the desk top trifold to guide the conversation.

Opportunistic conversations:
  • GPs and practice nurses will be encouraged to initiate discussions about bowel screening during consultations to support informed decision-making.
