Cancer Screening Education Primary Care

Cancer Screening Education Primary Care

Project Dates:

2021

The recent primary care sector interviews support the development of a series of educational modules hosted on Learn on Line, addressing the various roles, systems and content related to cancer screening, supplemented by other occasional aligned educational resources. A series of sector interviews is reported which expands on understanding what primary care want for cancer screening education.

What do we want clinicians to do?
  • Have a conversation with priority group patients who have not completed bowel screening.
  • Use the desk top trifold to guide the conversation.

Opportunistic conversations:
  • GPs and practice nurses will be encouraged to initiate discussions about bowel screening during consultations to support informed decision-making.
