Whanganui Regional Primary Healthcare Equity Snapshot 2021

Whanganui Regional Primary Healthcare Equity Snapshot 2021

Project Dates:

2021

This report includes a number of examples of health outcomes for people in the Whanganui region. These inform us on how the organisation of health care affects different groups within the population. In particular, it shows us that people have differences in health.

What do we want clinicians to do?
  • Have a conversation with priority group patients who have not completed bowel screening.
  • Use the desk top trifold to guide the conversation.

Opportunistic conversations:
  • GPs and practice nurses will be encouraged to initiate discussions about bowel screening during consultations to support informed decision-making.
